Tuesday Night Dance
Classes
Tuesday night is partner
dance class night at the
Corsham Centre.
Classes start at 8pm for the main class, but when we have some beginners
there is an an early session for them from 7.40pm (but they can stay all
night and join in the fun, or just sit and watch). At present we
do not have any beginners, our aim is to integrate them into the main
class as soon as possible after they have learnt basic techniques, dance
terminology and a selection of classic beginner and easy improver level
dances.
New members are always
welcome, experienced dancers or beginners, there will be a warm welcome
whatever your level. After attending 6 class nights, your
membership of Triple C and the Corsham Centre will be confirmed.
Membership of the Corsham Centre allows you use of their facilities at
any time and special members prices at the bar!!
Class fees are only
£3.00 per person, and each week there
is an opportunity to win free entry to the next class in the free
raffle. The emphasis is always on having fun and there is a
friendly relaxed atmosphere. By general consensus of the members,
the teaching regime is quite relaxed, with 3 - 4 new dances in a 5 week
period, giving plenty of time for recaps, and very often an old dance
will be re-taught to give the newer dancers a chance to catch up with
some of the classics. Occasionally, a line dance will be taught
for a bit of variety, but principally the classes are for partner
dancers.
